Yeah of course. Don’t just be that one guy/girl with a camera. Do something that makes you stand out. It’s hard these days when the internet is full of a bunch of people posting photos/videos. A bunch of people wanting to be a photog/filmmaker. It’s the same battle as it’s always been but these days there’s more people out there ready to take your place.
how did you get started as a filmmaker & do you have any tips for anyone who wants to be a filmmaker but feels as if there's no where to start?
I used to have a camcorder in high school. I filmed for fun cause I loved it. That should always be the main reason you film in the first place. I started doing music videos during the myspace days. The internet is definitely responsible for my work getting out there. So just learn how to market yourself. I was fortunate and met a lot of good people on my path. In the end it’s really who you know.
hey aris! I'm a photographer and I really haven't used studio lighting, i typically go outside and find a decent spot with ok lighting, and I really wanna push my work to the next level. do you have any tips on lighting equipment? or particular set up?
Most of my work is natural light. I sometimes use a hot light or whatever lights they have at a studio. I just like to experiment.
